The role she played as a character in Beautiful Now earned her a nomination for the Madrid International Film Festival Award. Recently, Spencer portrayed Lucy Preston (history professor) in Timeless. Spencer has received positive reviews from critics regarding her character in the sci-fi TV show Timeless. She has also been nominated for an award called the Teen Choice Award.
